In the sun.
After making a stretch and (almost) finishing everything on the to do list before the 13 pm meeting, a moment in the sun is just what i needed. Only now I’m just longing for summer and lazy days at the beach. At least I have my trip to Lebanon in a few months to look forward to!
Every Wednesday lunch or afternoon we meet up, when it is during the afternoon it is 17-19 and I just got out of one of those sessions. So much energy and so much love in this innovation network. We are almost midway! And wow we feel like it is such an impact. Just our network’s journey by itself is one thing, we are almost 20 people now, and then the competition we’ve started where we managed to include all of Sweden from various remote locations to come up with ideas they are passionate about is just amazing, we got 125 ideas! We want to be more active in the startup scene in Stockholm as well but honestly it has been a while since we’ve had time to attend one of those events. We will try to make that a natural part of our network…maybe our next meeting could be in a cocreating space?
On Friday I will give a recap workshop to the semifinalists on developing their idea with customer feedback and we have a team planning the pitch training, semi final and final…tuntuntuun our grande finally. But this is just a part of my work that I have made a part of my work.. I work with Business Intelligence so now I am writing an article on blockchain for our department and a few more topics, so ask me about blockchain if you want, people say it is the new Internet or the black swan of our time :O
Tomorrow it is one of our team member’s birthday, he is abroad and coming back tomorrow (on his birthday!) So some of us are going to the airport to surprise him…shhh don’t tell….
This is something I jotted down in my notebook while at a seminar at Google’s meeting place last week or two weeks ago. I was there to support a colleague presenting something about our work in digital customer channels, to learn, to be inspired…and to see Google’s meeting room (of course). Since I work a lot with keeping my company innovative and keeping the innovation network alive, I had managed to get us a spot in this.
Anyway..they had nice notebooks and pens as give aways and somewhere around the beginning I got kind of inspired by the setting and thinking about the possibilities of AI, robots, etc and wrote: “in the future, life will be very easy & cool, and you can focus on life reflection, deeper understanding of universe, spending time with the right people, taking care of children, animals, each other and exploring everything. ”
I continue writing “Would it be possible? would we appreciate those parts of life if they were so readily available and accessible for us? But if we remove all the clutter, what is then left? ”
and then I zone back in to the presentation being held, hear and jot down” Lika viktigt som det är att inkludera data är det viktigt att exkludera data”, “It is as important to include data as it is to exclude data” yup, it makes sense to remove the clutter.
Life lessons @Google #probablynotwhatthepresentermeant #quotetakenoutofcontext
This was jotted down in a 5 minute mental pause, I assure you, the rest of the seminar I was listening and taking superrelevant notes the whole time. xD
If an idea keeps coming back to you, at some point you just have to decide if you want to act upon it. I have a few creative ideas that are repetitive. One of them is to make time for writing. I love writing and although I may not be the best writer or perfect any language really, I do have the capability of analyzing, understanding and explaining things in new ways. Therefore I will try to keep writing some thoughts here and there when I get the chance and some day it might become a collection of something useful for someone or maybe just for myself. xD
What ideas of creativity do you have that keep coming back?
